Met Office Competition

This project was carried out during my time at Buro Happold Engineers in 2001. We were working with Alsop Architects on their competition submission for the new Met Office building. Their bold scheme involved 4 pod like buildings each with a different treatment. The images shown are from development work on one of these pods.

The images show a scheme where a simpler cheaper form would be built up as a basis for a more refined outer layer of cladding panels which give the visual form and aesthetic of the building.
