  • Aluminium Tetratainer

Whilst working at Buro Happold Engineers I carried out this concept/feasibility study for Norsk Hydro who were looking to find a design resource as a partner for developing products which promoted aluminium as a material. The brief was to take a fresh look at milk trolleys or ‘tetratainers’, which are used to transport and display milk in supermarkets. The common steel models rust and are frequently damaged and unsightly. A concept was developed which looked at the full life-cycle of the tetratainer and the pros and cons of using aluminium in its construction.
